I am a breast cancer survivor for 4 years now. I survived the worst, I just knew it. Until I lost my job in May 2006. We live in a rural part of Texas and help is few and far between. I have always helped others and strongly believe in paying it forward. Where are all the "payers paying it forward" when I need the help?
My husband works a decent job paying $9/hour but there are 6 of us at home; hubby, me and 4 children. I am on unemployment, $130/week. My ex-husband was fired from his job about 2 months ago and I no longer receive child support. With my husbands income and my unemployment we don't even qualify for food stamps. Imagine that!
House payment, electricity, water, phone, house insurance, car insurance, propane for heat, gas, food and house hold necessities are all adding up. I feel like I am drowning.
Then about 3 weeks ago the engine went out in my car. Thankfully my husband's 1990 Mercury is still running.
We can't make it month to month...let alone provide gifts for our children this Christmas. What are we going to do for gifts, food and our bills? We need a miracle...and fast.
